The Heritage Alliance has published their voters guide. I received an "A" with my opponents receiving either a "C" or "D".
The grading was based upon research conducted on the candidates as well as a questionnaire completed by the candidates. However, even though the candidate chose not to complete the questionniare, they could still receive a grade as high as a "B".

The Final Push!!!! Early Voting Starts Tomorrow!
We had a great day of campaigning today. I was able to meet some great people at 2 different retirement communities.
While I was doing that, my wife Lynn decided to take advantage of people being at home for President's Day and knocked on 75 doors in our neighborhood with our son Brighton. She met some wonderful neighbors.
Tonight, we went to polling locations in the county and put up a few signs.
Early voting starts tomorrow!! Please get out there and let your voice be heard!!! I would really appreciate your vote!! There are a lot of offices up for election, but please make sure you remember Bender on the Ballot!!

Neither Rain nor Sleet nor Snow......
My family and I decided to take advantage of the snow day by walking another precinct. Each time we talk to people in the community, we are always amazed at how small the world is. This week, I met a man who lived in the same neighborhood I grew up in, a woman who went to my elementary school and had the same 5th and 6th grade homeroom teachers, and of course, the military service connection runs deep.

Jay Bender has a strong educational background: graduating cum laude from Austin College after which he graduated from St. Mary’s Law School. He has worked in the Dallas District Attorney’s office as a prosecutor and been in private practice specializing as a Criminal Defense attorney. When he was asked why he was running he said to give back to the community. We found Mr. Bender is well qualified to serve as Judge in County Court at Law #6.
WE RECOMMEND: Jay Bender

Another Republican Candidate Forum
Well another forum tonight. I have received mixed reviews but all good from the people I trust. I met many wonderful Collin County citizens who have volunteered to handout my doorhangers, talk to their firends and families about my candidacy and post signs in their yards. That is what this campaign is about. I am going to be outspent but not outworked. Thank you so much to all who are working on this campaign with me and most importantly thank you to my lovely wife for all your support and for giving me our wonderful son, Brighton.
Walking our Community
Thank you to all who walked this weekend. I know that I had a great amount of success catching people waiting for the Super Bowl. Also, thank you for putting up those 4' x 4' signs. I have had many people stop me and ask me about them. Keep fighting the good fight! March 2nd is just around the corner.

Lincoln Day Dinner
Wow! What a wonderful evening we had at the Lincoln Day Dinner. Celebrating Congressmen Ralph Hall and Sam Johnson was truly memorable. We could not have two finer people fighting for us. I was also thankful just to shake Ross Perot's hand. All of them are true heroes.

Allen Area Patriots and Golden Corridor
I want to thank the Allen Area Patriots for having me last night. It was enlightening and I was thankful to be able to meet with them.
My wife is a member of the Golden Corridor Republican Women and really enjoyed their meeting last night. She said it was very informative and was glad to see everybody.
We are looking forward to putting more signs out this weekend. We will also be walking precincts. Thanks so much to all the people helping me!!! If anyone else wants to join in on the fun, please let me know!!
